Hi, nice to meet you.

This Website & Me
Hi, my name is Tiff and I love the outdoors. I also love to write. I am combining these two passions to give you this website, a site where I write about the outdoors! Go figure!

Born and raised in Southeast Michigan, I grew up camping maybe once a year and a few times in the backyard. I always knew I wanted to grow up around mountains, so as soon as I graduated college, I packed up a backpack and suitcase and headed out west to Oregon.
Through friends turned mentors and mentors turned friends, I have been able to grow this lifestyle of immersing myself in nature and outdoor sports. I’m so grateful for the people in my life who continue to teach me new things with every trip. Whether it’s from my long-term relationships who are still living wild lives or getting a tip from a stranger at a campground, this Midwest girl has been able to pick up a few tips and tricks along the way.
I’d like to share this with anyone and everyone who has questions about camping and simply being out west- from the point of view of someone who grew up in a midwestern small town. I'm so grateful for my childhood and my parents who are extremely supportive of me picking up my life to live on the other side of the county. It’s a true privilege to have the support I do!
So, here ya go! A blog from someone who is DEFINITELY not an expert, but has made so many mistakes that I can share a few lessons I've learned here. Through trial and error, and a whole lot of blessings sprinkled with luck, I have somehow survived out here. I hope this helps you out when the adventurer in you says "let's go!"

Values for this site & this life
Nature is a space that is bigger than all of us. It has the ultimate say. All we can do is respect it and enjoy the beauty and experiences found in the details of the outdoors. The outdoors is for everyone — all genders, races, ethnicities, sizes, shapes, backgrounds, sexual orientations, and ages. If you are a person willing to learn about, experience, and respect the outdoors, then you deserve to be there.

My hope is that through the lessons taught to me by nature and those wiser than I, this website provides insight on how to better occupy your space while you explore and adventure in the outdoors!
